Reacher Season 3 Book vs TV Show
In the Book |
In the TV Show |
Reacher is forced to play Russian Roulette. Later on, Reacher tells Duffy that he thought the Russian Roulette was not too hazardous as a spinning cylinder will come to a stop with the cartridge on the bottom, away from the barrel. |
Reacher is forced to play Russian Roulette. He knew from the mark he put on the cylinder to show where the blanks were during the fake kidnapping, that the cartridge would not be lined up to fire when he pulled the trigger. |
This does not happen in the book. |
Reacher notices a trap door in the building floor where Zachary interviewed him.
|
Reacher reports in using a small e-mail device hidden in his boot heel, after Duke locks him in the bedroom. |
Reacher is given a room, but Duke locks him in as he does not trust him yet. Reacher removes a small cell phone from the heel of his shoe and calls in to report “I’m in”. |
Reacher recalls eleven days earlier when he nearly bumped into a man on the sidewalk that he thought had been dead for ten years. Reacher thinks the man might have recognized him. Reacher gets the plate number of the car he drives off in. Reacher phones old numbers from his past and gets in touch with Warrant Officer Powell who says he will get back to him with info on the car; he sells out Reacher to the DEA when his plate search is flagged.
Reacher does not stop a young man from stealing or give him money. |
In a flashback to “days earlier”, Reacher is near a bus stop and convinces a young man to not steal from a mother waiting for a bus. He gives him $100 and tells him to get a job. Reacher then sees a man (Quinn) get into a car and drive away. Reacher borrows a cell phone and calls his old Unit 110 to get the license plate traced. Warrant Officer Powell says he will call him at his motel later.
|
Agents Steven Eliot and Sudan Duffy knock on his motel room door the next day, Reacher lets them in. Eliot is 30-40 years old, Duffy appears to be younger. |
Later on, federal agents (Duffy, Villanueva, Eliot) come knocking on his motel door, Reacher escapes out of the bathroom window, but they catch him immediately. Eliot is in his late 20’s, Duffy is in her late 30’s. |
