Starts in Abbott Maine. Two kidnappers crash into a car containing a driver, bodyguard and Richard Beck. They remove Richard from the car and toss in a grenade, then drive away towards Reacher who shoots the truck and both kidnappers. Reacher shoves Richard into his vehicle then shoots a police officer who came up from behind. |
Starts in Abbottsville Maine. Reacher arrives in an old blue van to sell some old records at a pawn shop. He rescues a young man from a kidnapping. Reacher kills the single kidnapper and accidentally kills a cop that tried to interfere. |
Paulie lets Reacher’s car through the gate without comment. Reacher surrenders his revolvers when the metal detector at the house front door, alarms. They are met at the house by Duke and Richard’s mother, Elizabeth. |

Reacher phones old numbers from his past and gets in touch with Warrant Officer Powell who says he will get back to him with info on the car; he sells out Reacher to the DEA when his plate search is flagged.

In a flashback to “days earlier”, Reacher is near a bus stop and convinces a young man to not steal from a mother waiting for a bus. He gives him $100 and tells him to get a job. Reacher then sees a man (Quinn) get into a car and drive away. Reacher borrows a cell phone and calls his old Unit 110 to get the license plate traced. Warrant Officer Powell says he will call him at his motel later.

Agents Steven Eliot and Sudan Duffy knock on his motel room door the next day, Reacher lets them in. Eliot is 30-40 years old, Duffy appears to be younger. |
Later on, federal agents (Duffy, Villanueva, Eliot) come knocking on his motel door, Reacher escapes out of the bathroom window, but they catch him immediately. Eliot is in his late 20’s, Duffy is in her late 30’s.

Prior to tracking down Reacher, Duffy and her team screwed up by taking inadmissible photos of Beck and other criminals on private property without a warrant and the DEA disavowed her investigation. Duffy sent in an undercover female agent to spy on Beck; she disappeared seven weeks ago. Duffy is unable to locate Beck’s home because she is working off-book. |
A week prior to tracking down Reacher, Agent Duffy put a confidential informant by the name of Teresa Daniels into the employ of Zachary Beck. It is an off the book project after Duffy and her team (especially Eliot) screwed up collecting inadmissible evidence on Beck. But Teresa Daniels disappeared right after she went to work for Beck. Duffy wants Reacher to look for Teresa at Beck's estate when he gets there. |

Reacher sneaks out of the third story bedroom he is locked in the first night. He enters the hidden cellar he found in the barn the previous day and finds evidence that Teresa Daniels was there. He reports this to Agent Duffy. Reacher barely makes it back in time to this room before Duke checks on him.

Eliot takes the tracker with him on I-95 so it will appear that Reacher has not stopped for too long. The van rear door lead seal is broken, they only find rugs. A DEA agent repairs the lead seal with a soldering iron. Duffy and Reacher continue in the van down south. Reacher asks for and Duffy gives him her government issue Glock 19. |
Reacher is tasked with driving a delivery van to New London. While driving Reacher contacts Duffy so she can meet him to inspect the van. The van rear door lock is picked. The van only has rugs in it. A drug dog does not find any drugs or a body. Duffy and Reacher continue in the van to New London while Villanueva uses his car to drive the van’s GPS unit ahead to keep it on time. Reacher does not ask for Duffy’s pistol.

Richard is mocked/threatened by three former high school classmates who have fallen on hard times due to Beck’s business. Reacher beats them all severely. Reacher offers Richard a chance to escape, but he has to tell him about his father’s business. He says Julius Quinn runs everything. Quinn and Paulie are the ones who originally kidnapped Richard and forced Beck to run contraband within his rug import business.

Duke tracks down Angel Doll’s house near Hartford, CT. Reacher and Duke raid the house while Beck waits in the car. Reacher holds Duke at gunpoint and demands to know where Teresa Daneil is. Duke does not answer so Reacher murders him. He then empties the magazines of his and Duke’s rifles into the house and runs back to Beck telling him that it was an ambush, Duke was killed and the others got away. Reacher tells Beck that one of the people in the house dropped a pistol; Reacher hands Beck Angel Doll’s gun. Beck is convinced that Angel Doll betrayed him. Reacher is promoted to Beck’s head of security. |
Reacher tells Agent Duffy that a big shipment is coming in. Agent Duffy uses Angel Doll’s laptop to send a message to Beck containing the address of a house that the kidnappers were using. It is a trap so Reach can get rid of Duke. Beck and Duke tell Recher they’re going after the men who kidnapped Richard after getting Angel Doll’s (Duffy’s) e-mail. Reacher retrieves Angel Doll’s pistol he hid near the sea cliff. Upon reaching the house, Duke and Reacher enter. Reacher disarms Duke and demands information on Teresa Daniels; Duke refuses and Reacher murders him. Reacher sets fire to the house with gas from the gas stove. Reacher gives Beck Angel Doll’s gun; Beck is convinced that Angel Doll betrayed him. Beck promotes Reacher to replace Duke.

Her body was brought to Beck’s estate where Reacher helped dispose of her body in the ocean while the tide was going out. The maid was caught when they found Reacher’s weapons in the car she used for running errands. Duffy’s Glock was traced to a government purchase. The maid blamed Reacher. They did not believe her after they found a communication device in her shoe. |
The maid is French. Quinn tells Beck to search all of the employees at his estate and their rooms to see if there is another spy. They find the maid’s cell phone, she died when Paulie beat her too hard while interrogating her in Beck’s barn. After disposing of the maid’s body, Reacher calls Duffy and tells her that the maid was an ATF agent and the Beck is running guns.

She was tortured to death the same way Beck’s maid was. Quinn also kills Lt Frasconi. That is why Reacher tried to murder Quinn ten years ago, and wants another chance to do so now. After Reacher finds Kohl’s body, he tracks down Quinn and shoots him in the head with a suppressed 22 pistol he checked out from the armory. Quinn falls into the ocean. |
Sergeant Kohl is beaten and killed by Quinn after he kills Corporal Frasconi. Reacher tracks Quinn down to a farm house where he finds Kohl’s corpse. He leads Quinn to a riverside cliff and shoots in him the head with Quinn’s 22 caliber pistol. Quinn falls into the river and is washed away.

Duffy and Villanueva go around to various address associated with Beck’s businesses to search for Teresa. Three men enter the building the Duffy is searching and try to shoot them. Reacher and Duffy kill the men, but she drops her DEA badge; Reacher picks it up. Reacher tells Duffy to leave with Villanueva and toss Angel Doll’s laptop out of the car window on the way out. Reacher meets up with the last of the three men (he is known to them as Beck’s man) and drives away with him. But the man finds the laptop and tells his boss that he thinks that Duffy and Villanueva are federal agents. Reacher hides the DEA badge in his pillow. |
The next day after the maid was murdered. The phones go out; no land line or cell service to their remote location. Reacher suspects that the driver and bodyguard that Duffy was holding escaped and she somehow managed to get phone service disabled to the remote estate for several hours. Reacher volunteers to go out and check the entrance to the estate from the highway. |
The driver that Eliot was guarding manages to overpower Eliot and kill him. He escapes. Duffy finds Eliot’s corpse soon after. Duffy calls Reacher to warn him. Duffy shoots/damages a power transformer to knock out power and phone lines to the remote location where Beck’s estate is located. Reacher goes to the end of the road at the entrance to Beck’s property.

Reacher drives the maid’s car (a Saab) to the highway and finds agent Terry Villanueva waiting in another car for him. They stage the Saab to look like an overturned car accident. Villanueva positions himself as a corpse next to the car. When the driver and bodyguard appear, Reacher kills them both with a rock to the head. They stuff the bodies into the Saab. Villanueva calls their deaths, “suicide by cop”. |
Villanueva meets Reacher with Duffy’s car at the end of the road. The turn over the DEA car. Villanueva plays dead in the car. When the drivers bends down to examine the car wreck, Reacher shoots/kills him. |

Duffy and Villanueva go to a tailor to get information on a green dress made for a redhead. They get a phone number.
Reacher tells Richard that he is working for DEA and is looking for Quinn and trying to rescue Teresa. Richard is concerned about his dad, he agrees not to blow Reacher’s cover.
Quinn sends assassins to murder Powell and Neagley. Powell is beaten but refuses to talk. Quinn tells the men to gut Powell. Neagley is attacked, she kills one, then shoots and questions the other. Neagley calls Reacher to warn him. |

Quinn is told by Beck that Reacher was in Unit 110 after Quinn starts looking into everyone who was investigating him. Quinn Tells Paulie to kill Reacher. But Reacher has already run from the house and has shot out the tires of the vehicles in the garage.
Reacher steals a pickup truck with a plow and escapes by driving through the gate. Quinn’s men chase Reacher on ATV’s, but are killed by Reacher.
Quinn punishes Beck by making Richard play Russian Roulette. Beck is later shown missing his right ear.
Duffy, Reacher and Villanueva go to Fort Rome to look for Teresa. They find that Teresa was moved from Harley’s boat to an unknown location. After torturing Harley, they burn up his boat with him on it. Reacher and Duffy go to Los Angeles.

When/if the DEA comes in to make arrests, Reacher feels he needs to evacuate Elizabeth and Richard Beck and the cook. He will let Beck and the mechanic face the music. Richard tells Reacher that he was kidnapped by Paulie and Xavier five years ago; Paulie raped him. He did not tell his parents about the rape. He also knows his dad is more than a rug importer. Richard also thinks the kidnapping was a setup, but Reacher still denies it was. Reacher tells Richard to ask his dad to keep him at the estate to guard the family during the big shipment coming up. |

Episode #7 Duffy and Reacher stop off at Teresa’s Grandmother in MA prior to going to LA. Duffy promises to bring Teresa home.
Neagley tracks down the man who sent the assassins after her; he says it was Quinn.
After reviewing Duffy’s inadmissible surveillance videos for clues, they find one, then have sex in the motel.
Reacher and Duffy confront Darian at a party and threaten to arrest him on phony assault charges. Darian calls Beck to lure him to pick up his money. Police arrive at Darien’s art gallery to search for evidence of money laundering.
Neagley meets Beck (he is missing an ear) at the money pickup, she tells him that McCabe is really Quinn. Beck tells Neagley that buyers from Yemen are flying in to buy his weapons. Neagley has no money for Beck, she tells him to report to Quinn that the deal was no good.

Quinn goes to a warehouse where Teresa is prisoner and injects her with heroin.
Reacher thinks Beck is going to supply a large amount or weapons to terrorist for an upcoming attack in the USA.
Becks sees the toy gun that Richard is going to give him; they have a heart to heart talk about their lives and hug.
Neagley watches the weapons buyers arrive at a small airport. Neagley keeps an eye on the buyers. The Beck tells Reacher that the weapons buy will be at Bullhead Salvage Yard at 9pm during Beck’s birthday party. Duffy wants to bring the ATF in on the weapons bust. Reacher disagrees because with the ATF on the scene, Reacher will not be allowed to kill Quinn.

The ATF is very unhappy with Duffy and her delays in reporting to them. The ATF is taking the case away from Duffy; she protests. The ATF will allow her to observe only. Reacher is told to fuck off when he objects. The ATF is going to report Dufy to her superiors at the DEA.
Becks tells his son to go to his room at 9pm during the birthday party and hide.
The ATF is at the salvage yard waiting for the weapons to show up. Reacher leaves the ATF’s surveillance van. Reacher retrieves a sniper rifle from his car so he can murder Quinn as soon as he sees him.
Reacher calls Neagley to tell her to wipe her history with Reacher for the last week as he is about to shoot up the weapons deal at the Salvage Yard. Neagley says she is following the buyers to Beck’s estate. Reacher realizes the Salvage Yard meeting is a trap.

Episode #8. When Reacher sees the men are ambushing the ATF, he starts shooting Quinn’s men. Quinn’s men kill all of the ATF agents, Reacher, Duffy and Villanueva kill the rest except for one of Quinn’s men and Beck. Reacher forces the man to text Quinn that everything is good and he is on the way back.
Quinn is offering Teresa as a gift to the Russians he owes money to. The Yemen buyers are also at the Beck birthday party. Quinn gives a room key to the buyers boss so he can rape Teresa prior to the concluding their weapons deal.

When Reacher returns to Beck’s estate, Paulie is waiting for him and holds him at gun point. He was about to force Richard rape his mother. Paulie says he got a call from Xavier about Reacher saying he was an ATF spy. Paulie disarms Reacher, sends Elizabeth and Richard to the house, drops the revolvers, and tells Reacher he is going to beat him to death.
Paulie is strong and fast, but a poor fighter. Reacher hits Paulie six times, but he is uninjured. Recher is punched three times and is hurt badly. Reacher’s communication device is broken during the fight. Paulie gloats instead of finishing Reacher when he falls down. When Paulie tries to kick Reacher, he grabs his foot, lifts it and Paulie falls to the ground. Reacher stomps on Paulies’ face, hands and arms, breaking bones. Reacher is then able to pick up the revolvers Paulie dropped and forces him to the rocks of the ocean shore where he shoots him 12 times. Paulie falls into the water and eventually sinks.

Reacher, Duffy, Neagley and Villanueva drive the trucks past Paulie who waves them in. But soon after Paulie confronts them about the parking place. Beck leads all but Reacher into his house via the basement while Reacher ambushes and tries to strangle Paulie. Paulie severely beats Reacher until the are both buried under bags of fertilizer in the barn. Paulie hangs Reacher by the neck with a chain in the barn and walks away, but Reacher escapes and continues to fight. Reacher injures Paulie with a rake and they both fall into the ocean where they continue to fight and are pulled out to sea. Paulie apparently drowns while Reacher swims back to shore. But Paulie chases Reacher to the guard shack where they fight, Paulie tries to shoot Reacher with the mounted machinegun, but Reacher had previously plugged the barrel so it blew up in Paulie’s face when he tried to shoot Reacher with it.

Reacher enters the house with the party in progress. He kills silently one guard with his hands, goes to Duke’s bedroom to see that Eliot is dead and the mechanic is working on the jammed machine gun. He kills the mechanic and knocks out Troy the computer guy. He finds Teresa Daniel in another bedroom, in a white dress, drugged but able to walk. He hides her in another room, then goes to the kitchen and tells the caterers he needs to move their truck and takes their keys. He backs the truck up to the kitchen then puts Teresa Daniel into the back of the van. He drives the van out to Duffy and Villanueva and give Teresa to them. |
Neagley dons Beck’s shirt, vest and bowtie to blend in with the other waiters. Neagley is confronted by the catering boss for her aimless wandering at the party. She tells him she is working under cover to find out who is stealing from him; he agrees to cooperate.
Villanueva is stopped by one of Quinn’s men while trying to find Richard. Villanueva kills the man in the bathroom, Richards meets finds Villanueva who says he is there to rescue him.
Three buyers go out to inspect the weapons for sale, Reacher kills them. Duffy kills the weapons buyer who was about to rape Teresa.

Villanueva tells Reacher that he wants to be with him when he makes a move on Beck, Reacher agrees. Villanueva was Teresa Daniel’s mentor. He did not stop her from letting Duffy put her undercover. |

Before the party and weapons buy, Reacher tells Richard and Elizabth to leave; they refuse. He loads the Russian machine gun into the car along with all of the ammo. Quinn calls the guard house asking if Reacher is dead yet, Reacher tells him that he is. Reacher mounts the machine gun in Duke’s old room to aim at the gate. He calls Duffy and tells her to get to Beck’s estate as soon as she can. |

When Eliot, Duffy and Villanueva arrive at Beck’s estate, Reacher assigns Eliot to the machine gun in the house after Villanueva refuses; he wants to rescue Teresa Daniel. Duffy, Reacher and Villanueva drive to Portland to find Beck. They break into Xavier’s warehouse but find nothing except bloodstains probably belonging to the maid they tortured and a holding cell that might have held Teresa Daniel (Agent Justice). They find the word Justice and today’s date. Duffy steals some files and they leave after four minutes as they had tripped a silent alarm. |

Duffy, Reacher and Villanueva drive to Missionary House’s underground garage, where Xavier’s Export Company is located. Reacher confronts a woman named Emily Smith. She is surprised as she believes Reacher was killed by Paulie. Reacher interrogates her, decides she does not know about the maid being tortured and killed, so he lets her live. He confines her to the bathroom by tying the door shut. |

Duffy, Reacher and Villanueva drive to Xavier’s warehouse where they find many well worn weapons, some good quality sniper rifles, small surface to air missiles and RPG’s made in Russia. Harley (one of Xavier’s employees) interrupts and disarms them. Harley says Teresa Daniel is in “mint condition”. Reacher is able to pull up a shotgun they had examined previously and shoots/kills Harley. |
Harley is tortured and murdered by Duffy and Reacher when they blow up his boat in the harbor.

Reacher thinks Teresa Daniel is being gifted to the arms buyer as a bonus. Duffy, Reacher and Villanueva back to the Beck estate. Reacher tells Duffy to wait an hour then call the ATF. Reacher kills the new guard at the gate then manages to walk up to the house after letting the catering van in. |
Reacher invades the house with a shoguns and starts killing the Russians, this prompts Quinn to kill the weapons buyers and take their money.

Reacher goes back to the house and interrupts the party, with the weapons buyers attending, in progress with a shotgun blast to the ceiling. He finds Xavier and asks if he remembers him from ten years ago; he remembers after he reminds him of Kohl. Xavier tries to shield himself with Beck’s body, Richard points a pistol at Reacher’s back and tells him to not shoot his dad. Reacher jumps through a window and runs away while the guests start shooting at him.
The party guests come out of the broken window and shoot at Reacher while using Richard and Elizabeth as human shields. Reacher jumps into the ocean; the current moves him 100 yards away before he can get out of the water.

Reacher walks back to the house and ties up the cook. Reacher rushes Beck and punches him; Beck lives. Reacher then stabs Xavier to death with a chisel. Reacher steals one of Beck’s cars and drives to the hotel to meet Duffy. |

Quinn takes Richard hostage, then then kills Zachary Beck when he tries to bluff him with the toy pistol Richard gifted to him. Richard shoots at the fleeing Quinn, but misses. Quinn is confronted by the Russian mafia outside of the house, he is late paying them their money.
Reacher, Duffy and Villanueva are in a standoff over Quinn and the money. Neagley shows up with the bag of money and a grenade (Beck’s defused paperweight); after she pulls the pin, the Russians agree to trade Quinn for the money. The Russians leave with the money and Reacher kills Quinn after reminding him of Kohl.

Duffy has called the ATF to take down Beck and the local police are at the warehouse. The Beck family is still at home. Villanueva says he will retire, Duffy says she cannot retire. Reacher tells her to go to the ATF and get a job.
Reacher showers and ends up naked in Duffy’s bed, but falls asleep immediately. He wakes up to find everyone else gone and a bag with two changes of clothes. He plans on driving Beck’s car down south to I-95 and abandoning it. Then catch a ride south to Miami.

Reacher gives Richard some car keys, he takes the money he finds in the house and leaves.
Villanueva is retiring, Duffy is quitting the DEA. Duffy tells the local police that Reacher and Neagley did not shoot anyone. Villanueva and Duffy visit Eliot’s relatives. Duffy returns Teresa to her Grandmother. Reacher steals Beck’s motorcycle and departs down the coast.
