This Spoils the Ending
In the Book In the Movie
The Machine goes from 1 to 20 in levels of pain inflicted. It has many small suction cups that cover Westley's entire body, even under his eyelids and his tongue. It goes from 1 to 50. There are only a few cups that go on his temples chest and a few other places.
Inigo and Fezzik must fight their way through the 5 levels of the zoo of death before they reach Westley. They encounter snakes, bats and other creatures and are very frightened. They enter the chamber where they find Westley without any problems.
Miracle Max creates the miracle to bring Westley back from the dead, but it is only supposed to last for one hour. He makes a mistake and it is meant to keep him awake for only 40 minutes. After that he will almost certainly die again. He manages to avoid dying when facing Humperdinck. A real miracle. Max makes the pill to save him, but there is no mention of a time limit. He is revived and just takes time to fully come back to life.
Inigo chases the count and is locked out and asks Fezzik to help him break down the door. Fezzik takes three attempts before finally succeeding in breaking it down. He knocks the door open easily with one hand and on the first try.
After the four leave the castle on the four Great whites of the prince, they come upon the Brute squad and Yellin. They want to stop them, but Buttercup stands up and yells at them that she is the Queen and they need to go and save Humperdinck. They rush past and let the four leave. They ride off on the horses unimpeeded.
