   Ray had a good relationship with his father before he died. They had a contentious relationship and argued much of the time before the father died.
   Ray attended college in Iowa. He attended Berkeley. He was an anti war activist in the 1960's.
   Ray meets Shoeless Joe Jackson after building the field. He asks if he can bring his friends to play ball with them. After building the field and meeting Joe, Ray goes on a trip to find Terrence Mann and Moonlight Graham to bring them to the farm.
   Ray has a long lost identical twin brother who is called to the farm by the same voice that told Ray to build the field. He is able to see his father again after leaving home when he was 16 years old. Ray doesn't have a twin brother.
   Ray knows that he must build the field and goes about completing the task. Ray doubts what he is doing.
