Paul DePodesta is Billy Beane's assistant GM and has been since 1999. The Character's name is changed to Pete Brand and he joins the team in 2002.
Chad Bradford is featured heavily. His entire career from high school forward is discussed at length. He is shown being added to the team. But his past is hardly discussed.
The Oakland A's 2002 draft process is covered. It isn't shown at all.
The A's have several great players. Including Miguel Tejada who won the MVP of the American league in 2002. Barry Zito won 23 games and was the Cy Young winner of 2002. Neither is mentioned at all. The A's are presented much like the Cleveland Indians of Major League.
This doesn't happen. Billy Beane takes his daughter to a guitar store to buy her a guitar. She plays him a sweet song in the store. She later records it for him to play on a CD in his truck.
