   The play takes place in the early 1600's when it was written. It is the Renaissance. Takes place in the Victorian era in Denmark.
   A physical relation ship between Hamlet and Ophelia is hinted at. There is a flashback showing Hamlet in bed with Ophelia.
   Before Hamlet encounters his father as a ghost, he gives a monologue directed to his companions. It is a soliloguy.
   There is an intermission between each act. There is only one intermission.
