In the Book In the Movie
   Lara Jean and most of her high school class rent houses on the beach. Lara Jean brings Peter to her bedroom for sex. Peter is upset about his relationship with his father, Lara Jean's choice of college and other stuff. He refuses to have sex with her and leaves the house. Peter refuses to have sex with Lara Jean after prom. He leaves her house.
   Peter's mom tells Lara Jean that Peter wants to transfer to UNC to be with Lara Jean after a year in UVA. Peter has a scholarship at UVA, but would have to pay very expensive out of state tuition to be with Lara Jean at UNC. She asks Lara Jean to break up with Peter so that Peter can concentrate on his studies and lacrosse at UVA. This does not happen in the film.
   Lara Jean gets drunk at Trina's bachelorette party, tells Peter that he needs to stay at UVA and they should not have a long distance relationship; she breaks up with him. This does not happen in the film
   Peter shows up at the wedding; Lara Jean tells him she wants to stay together. Peter agrees. Peter gives back her yearbook with a new love letter contract in it. Kitty lures Lara Jean back to the wedding tent after everyone leaves after the wedding. She reads the “meet-cute” love letter Peter leaves for her. He promises to love her always and forever. They sign it like a contract.
   Lara Jean and Peter go out at night to watch a Perseids meteor shower. Peter tells her about the time he first saw her in 6th grade. Peter and Lara Jean sleep together the night of her dad's wedding while her dad and Trina are away on their honeymoon.
