   The children go directly to Mr. Poe's home after he picks them up from Briny Beach. They go to the remains of their home.
   The children take a trip to the market for ingredients for the dinner they are making for Olaf and his friends. They search the cupboards and find stale pasta.
   This didn't happen. Count Olaf attempts to kill the orphans by parking his car on the railway tracks.
   Violet uses a grappling hook to climb the tower to save Sunny. Klaus climbs the tower without a grappling hook.
   Violet signed the marriage certificate with her left hand but Olaf didn't realize it. He sees her do it and tells her to use her right.

   Violet builds a device that uses refraction to set a sail on fire to signal for help. She and Klaus call out for help and wave their arms.
   Olaf sends Josephine to her death by pushing her into the water. He leaves her on the sinking boat, but doesn't push her in.
