This Spoils the Ending
In the Book In the Movie
Toons work in a variety of fields. Although many work in entertainment, including movies, TV commercials, and comic strips, many work as police officers or business owners. However, they face discrimination from humans and in many ways are second-class citizens. Toons apparently exist to work only in show business; Roger says that Toons exist to make people laugh.
Baby Herman Has A Human Man Servant. Baby Hermen has a hot nanny.
Eddie first meets Baby Herman in Herman's mansion. He notices the human manservant offering Baby Herman a cigar but doesn't try to stop him, instead asking if Herman is too young to smoke. Eddie first meets Baby Herman outside of his office; he doesn't realize the baby is an adult Toon until after he tries to stop the nanny from giving Herman a cigar.
Baby Herman doesn't have a strong opinion of Roger, nor does he seem to respect him. Baby Herman considers Roger a friend.
Toons are just as vulnerable to bullets, fire, and other sorts of physical trauma as humans. Dip does not exist. Toons can survive almost any sort of physical trauma, but dip--a combination of various paint and ink removers--can kill them.
