Toons can create physical doppelgangers that usually disappear in a few hours. Toons cannot do this.
Toons are just as vulnerable to bullets, fire, and other sorts of physical trauma as humans. Dip does not exist. Toons can survive almost any sort of physical trauma, but dip--a combination of various paint and ink removers--can kill them.
Toontown doesn't exist; rather, Toons live alongside humans in Los Angeles. Toons live in their own offshoot of L.A. called Toontown.
Toons work in a variety of fields. Although many work in entertainment, including movies, TV commercials, and comic strips, many work as police officers or business owners. However, they face discrimination from humans and in many ways are second-class citizens. Toons apparently exist to work only in show business; Roger says that Toons exist to make people laugh.
When Toons speak, their words appear in word bubbles by their head before floating to the ground. Humanoid Toons are able to suppress their word bubbles but it does take effort. Toons do not produce word bubbles.
Roger disdains Baby Herman and is irritated that he works as a second-banana character instead of having his own strip. Roger appears quite content with his job.
Roger Rabbit can be a goofball, but he can be ruthless and conniving when he needs to be. Roger Rabbit always acts cartoonishly outlandish.
Roger is revealed to be guilty of murder. Roger is not guilty of murder.
Jessica Rabbit never loved Roger; it's implied her marriage to Roger was the result of Roger wishing on a genie lamp. Jessica Rabbit is genuinely, madly in love with Roger.
Jessica Rabbit is an actress. Jessica Rabbit is a nightclub dancer.
With his ears, Roger Rabbit is about as tall as Eddie. Roget is about half of Eddie's height.
Baby Herman has a human manservant. Baby Herman has a nanny.
Eddie first meets Baby Herman in Herman's mansion. He notices the human manservant offering Baby Herman a cigar but doesn't try to stop him, instead asking if Herman is too young to smoke. Eddie first meets Baby Herman outside of his office; he doesn't realize the baby is an adult Toon until after he tries to stop the nanny from giving Herman a cigar.
Baby Herman doesn't have a strong opinion of Roger, nor does he seem to respect him. Baby Herman considers Roger a friend.
Eddie embarks on a quest to clear Roger Rabbit of murder when he goes back to his home, only to find the door clumsily picked and Roger inside waiting for him. Eddie embarks on a quest to clear Roger Rabbit of Murder when he goes back to his home, only to find Roger in his bed.
Eddie has very little patience with Toons because he is annoyed with their obnoxious personalities and illogical actions. However, he does not outright hate them. Eddie hates all Toons because a Toon killed his brother. The only Toon he seems to like is Betty Boop.
Eddie is mostly humorless in part due to his cynical personality. Eddie had a sense of humor until a Toon killed his brother.
Eddie's family is never mentioned. Eddie's deceased brother heavily impacts his personality.
