This Spoils the Ending
In the Book In the Movie
Enzo says goodbye to Nina after the funeral and wishes her luck. Enzo does not appear in the film after he is fired by Andrew right after Nina left.
After Andrew’s funeral, Millie and Enzo stay together. Nina pays Millie one year’s salary. Millie has some odd jobs during that year. After Andrew's funeral (where he is eulogized as a pillar of the community), Nina gives Millie a $100,000 check before leaving with Cece to start a new life.
A year later, Millie is interviewed by Lisa Killeffer after being recommended by Enzo and Nina. Lisa has bruises on her arm and wants to hire Millie. Millie says she can help Lisa. Some time later, Nina recommends Millie's services to a friend. The friend implies that her husband is abusive. Millie asks when she can start.
