   Augustus told Hazel Grace that he was in love with her on the plane. Augustus freaking told Hazel Grace that he was in love with her IN THE RESTAURANT.
   The restaurant Hazel Grace and Augustus ate at in Amsterdam was outside. (the "snow" was falling) The restaurant Hazel Grace and Augustus ate at in Amsterdam was INSIDE. THERE WAS NO "SNOW".
   When Isaac, Hazel, and Augustus egged Monica's car, Hazel stayed in the car because vandalism scared her. and Augustus tells her to go back inside or they will have to call the police. When Isaac, Hazel, and Augustus egged Monica's car, Hazel was OUTSIDE OF THE CAR not looking the least bit afraid. When Monica's mom comes outside, he babbles on and on and never says what he said in the book.
   Hazel lets a little girl named Jackie try her oxygen during a trip to the mall. This doesn't happen.
   Hazel's mother, Frannie is crazy about holidays and celebrates every one. She doesn't obsess over all the obscure holidays.
   After Isaac loses his second eye, the nurse tells him "He'll see" that it will get better. This exchange doesn't happen.
   Agustus' dead girlfriend, Caroline Mathers causes problems for his relationship with Hazel. She isn't mentioned.
   Augustus, describes shooting “existentially fraught” free throws the day before the amputation of his leg. He doesn't tell the story.
   Gus has a large family that play a large role in the story. They are background characters.
   Hazel and Gus eat outside at the Oranjee restaurant. They eat inside.
   This doesn't happen. Gus tells Hazel that he loves her at the Oranjee restaurant.
   Gus spends weeks getting sicker and sicker and we see how bad he gets before the end. The details are left out and he quickly gets sick before the end.
   While in the hospital, Hazel reads a letter written by Peter van Houten, wherein he writes a famous quote from Julius Caesar, saying 'The fault, dear Brutus, is not in the stars, but in ourselves.' This is a big part showing why the book was titled 'the fault in our stars.' This never happens in the movie.
   Isaac have a personalised video game for blind people It is never mentioned in the movie.
   Before going to Amsterdam, Augustus and his parents have a fight. This doesn't happen in the movie.
   When they first met, Augustus stares at Hazel. When they first met, Hazel bumps into Augustus.
   Gus's favorite band is The Hectic Glow they never mention The Hectic Glow.
   She put her "desperately lonely swing set" up for sale. she doesn't sell the "Desperately lonley swing set"
   Gus tells Hazel that she looks like Natalie Portman in "V for Vendetta." Gus shows Hazel the movie it in his living room because his parents won't let him go alone downstairs with her. Gus never mentions the movie. His parents didn't seem to care if they went downstairs alone.
   When Hazel reads Augustus' letter the quote "My thoughts are stars I can not fathom into constellations." This quote is never mentioned in the movie
   Hazel Grace never yelled "F*** you!" at Peter van Houten. In the movie she does.
   Hazel lets a little girl named Jackie try her oxygen during a trip to the mall. This does happen, but at the airport instead. In some versions, however, this scene was cut.
   Hazel says she knows Augustus' number is inside his book. This doesn't happen.
   Hazel Grace texts Augustus first to tell him her opinion of his book. She waits until Augustus texts her about her book.
   Hazel and Gus watch a movie together after support group in the lounge room. They weren't allowed in Gus' room (the basement) Hazel and Gus hang out in the basement/his room after support group.
   When Gus sees the tee shirt with the picture of the pipe, he says "funny" and Hazel says "Don't call my boobs funny". Not shown in the movie
   Hazel notices that Augustus peed himself when she went downstairs to check on him this doesn't happen
   Hazel puts the pack of cigarettes she bought Augustus sneakily into his casket and takes off her oxygen tube when she says goodbye to him She puts the cigarettes on top of the casket in front of everyone
   At the end after reading Augustus's letter, Hazel says "I do, Augustus, I do." In the movie, she simply says "Okay."
