The meeting with Greedo happens after Han makes a deal with Ben and Luke and he shoots Greedo without warning. |
It occurs right as Ben and Luke get into the cantina and it's due to Greedo getting frustrated and attempting to shoot Han himself. |

Ponda Baba and Dr. Evazan threaten Luke unprovoked and eventually Ben gets involved, causing the two to draw their blasters and Ben sedating them with his lightsaber. |
Luke accidentally knocks over Ponda's drink, causing Ponda to get angry and try to shoot Luke, where Ben steps in and slices Ponda into pieces. Evazan is a bystander to the whole thing and runs out of the cantina.
