   Frank Burns is a Captain. Frank Burns is a Major and Hawkeye's superior.
   After the camp exposes her while taking a shower, Major Houlihan resigns her commission. This does not happen; Major Houlihan stays from the beginning of the series until the end of the war.
   Father Mulcahy is somewhat rough around the edges and is not afraid to curse or stand up to Hawkeye. Father Mulcahy acts innocent and fatherly.
   Hawkeye, like all the other surgeons, dislike the war and the ensuing casualties but do not protest against the war's cause. Hawkeye is a frequent critic of the war and why it is being fought.
