This Spoils the Ending
In the Book In the Movie
While hiding in the desert, Paul confronts his mother with the knowledge that she is Baron Harkonnen's own daughter and pregnant with the Duke's daughter. This does not happen.
Liet-Kynes' father initiated a Fremen program to make Dune more habitable long after spice mining started. Liet-Kynes says that spice mining interrupted Fremen efforts to modify Dune's climate.
After taking control of Dune, the Baron tells Rabban to squeeze the planet for as much spice as possible to recover the enormous price of transportation of their army to Dune. He tells Rabban to not exterminate the local population. The Baron tells Rabban to kill all of the Fremen.
Liet-Kynes dies after he is captured and the Baron orders him to be left in the desert with a damaged still-suit Liet Kynes is killed by Sardaukar while she is attempting to lure and hook onto a sandworm to catch a ride to the edge of the desert.
Jamis and Paul duel without still-suits while sheltered in sietch. The Fremen think Paul is toying with Jamis during the duel as he is used to fighting shielded opponents that require a slow blade. Chani gives Paul advice on how to defeat Jamis. Chani gives Paul a crysknife and wishes him an honorable death. They fight while in still-suits. The Fremen think Paul is toying with Jamis, but it is because he has never killed anyone before.
