   Nessarose is born without arms. Nessarose is born with crippled legs.
   Glinda enchants Nessarose's shoes to allow her to walk without help. It is Elphaba who enchants the shoes.
   Boq is attracted to Galinda, but they end up as friends and he marries one of her schoolmates. Galinda coerces Boq into pretending he likes Nessarose, and they end up spending years together. When Nessarose learns the truth, Boq ends up turned into the Tin Man.
   Fiyero is murdered by the Gale Force He is arrested by the Oz guards, tied to a pole and taken to a cornfield nearby to be tortured. But Elphaba, unknowingly turns him into the Scarecrow
