   When Max decides to leave, the Wild Things become angry and try to stop him by threatening to eat him the Wild Things simply let him leave with a sad goodbye
   The book is meant for kids the movie is pointed for adults
   Max has no close relationship with any particular Wild Thing He forms a close bond with both Carol and KW
   there are no pedophiles in the book There is reference to pedophillia in the film
   The book doesn't have a secret animal in it The movie though has Richard the raccoon who wasn't seen or heard of in the book
