Haller assigns the case of Daniel Varela (Sam Scales) to Lorna. It is another charity scam he was arrested for. He was collecting grocery cards for striking workers. He raised $300,000 but only donated $100,000. He is looking three years in prison. Lorna is able to make a plea deal with the state.

After the judge recesses for the day, Haller mocks Lankford by telling him that he knows he was following Gloria the day she was murdered. Lankford tries to grab Haller by his tie, but it is a clip-on that he wears while in court or at a prison for safety reasons. |
