This takes place in the book “The Law of Innocence” which will be adapted into season four of The Lincoln Lawyer. |
As Haller is leaving the restaurant celebration, he see visions of Eddie, Gloria and his father.
Haller is pulled over shortly after leaving the restaurant. He has no rear license plate on his old Lincoln. The officer sees blood leaking from the trunk. Haller refuses to open the trunk and is arrested. The officer opens the trunk and they see the corpse of Sammy Scales.
