This Spoils the Ending
In the Movie In the Video Game
Luke contacts Han about a meteorite he spotted before being attacked by the wampa. He only scouts the area before being attacked and doesn't contact Han.
It cuts back to Echo Base and sees Han ride off of his tauntaun to find Luke. All Echo Base scenes before the battle are omitted.
Luke cuts off the wampa's right arm with his lightsaber. He cuts off it's left one.
Han's tauntaun dies from the cold and he is forced to slice it open to keep Luke warm overnight. This doesn't happen.
Luke sees Obi-Wan's ghost talk to him about finding Yoda before passing out in the cold. This is omitted.
Luke makes a recovery via a bacta tank and afterwards Leia kisses Luke to make Han jealous. Both of these scenes aren't shown.
Darth Vader's flagship is an Executor-class Star Dreadnought. It is a regular Star Destroyer.
It cuts back occasionally to the Empire plotting their assault on Hoth, as well as Vader "doing away" with Admiral Ozzel. All of these scenes are omitted.
There are five AT-ATs on Hoth. There are seven.
Leia accidentally falls into Han's arms while being hit with fire on the Millennium Falcon. It's in the echo base.
Han and Leia share a kiss while privately working on the Falcon maintenance, which is interrupted by C-3PO. It's when the power goes out briefly, and Leia responds by slapping him.
Vader hires a slew of bounty hunters to track the Millennium Falcon. This scene is omitted.
Han, Leia and company spend a long time down in the Exogorth's mouth before realizing that they've done so. They also have an encounter with Mynocks. The Mynocks don't make an appearance and they only fly into the mouth for a few seconds to escape the Imperial fire.
It cuts back and forth between Luke and Han/Leia's stories in a more non-linear way. Both stories get entire cutscenes/levels dedicated to themselves without going back and forth, such as Luke facing off with Vader in Cloud City before Han, Leia and company even got there.
Yoda finds Luke in the Dagobah forest eating his dinner and doesn't introduce himself as Yoda before going back to his hut. Luke finds Yoda walking out of his hut and he proves his identity as a Jedi master by lifting a rock in front of Luke.
Yoda is skeptical about Luke being a Jedi warrior before being convinced by Obi-Wan's ghost. Yoda's hut scene is omitted.
Luke goes alone when encountering the Vader apparition in the cave. Yoda is with him.
Lando appears angry with Han at first but then turns out to be playing a joke on him and hugs him. Lando appears disinterested in Han and immediately goes and flirts with Leia.
Leia doesn't fully trust Lando. She appears to.
3PO is lured into a back room where Imperial troopers blow him into pieces. Him being blown up isn't shown but he does appear in pieces later on.
Han endures a scan grid and a torture device before the Carbonite treatment. He is eventually put back in his room where he confronts Lando about his betrayal, in which Lando explains himself. All of these are omitted.
Chewbacca and Leia turn on Lando briefly for his betrayal. They don't.
Luke is alone when fighting Vader. R2-D2 is with him.
Vader gets into contact with the Emperor about Luke. This is omitted.
