   The pilot of a jet plane is found in the cave. He is believed to be the beast. The pilot was with the boys when they crashed. He was delusional and escaped and went to the cave. He died there and the boys eventually found his body.
   When the boys fail to keep the signal fire lit, a ship passes and they don't get rescued. It is an airplane that passes.
   There is a boy with a large mulberry birthmark on his face. He doesn't appear.
   The conch is eventually shattered when Piggy is killed. The conch is not shown being destroyed.
   Jack attempts to get the boys to revote the leadership and when he fails, he leaves the group to start his own. There is no revote because Ralph is of a higher rank and was the leader almost by default. Jack simply leaves the group and starts his own.
   The boys are alone without any adults when they crash on the island. The pilot is with them.
   There is a boy with a broken arm Ralph is the one with the broken arm
   Piggy always refers to his aunt when we first meet him piggy doesn't refer to his aunt at all but his grandmother and that happened only at least once or twice
   Sam and Eric are captured by Jack and his hunters Sam and Eric chose to join Jack and his hunters
   In the book at the beginning the boys are all scattered around the island and Ralph has to blow the conch (shell) to gather everyone together ! However in the film all the boys find themselves in the sea and then travel to the island on a dingy boat.
   The boys are British Are American
   Ralph finds the conch and fishes it out with a stick Piggy goes into the shallow water and picks the conch up
   The boys are being evacuated during wartime. They are the only survivors. Several of the boys are part of a choir. The boys are from a military academy and are returning home when their plane crashes.
   Jack has red hair and is the leader of the group of choir boys. He is blond and is a Cadet from the military school.
   Simon loses him mind and when he sees the severed Pig's head it talks to him and he sees it as the Lord of the Flies. Simon only stares at the head while the buzzing of the flies gets progressively louder.
   Ralph often insults Piggy. He rarely does.
   The boys are British. They are American.
   When the British Naval officer finds Ralph he talks to him and Ralph tells him all about the killings of Simon and Piggy. Ralph doesn't say anything to the Marine.
   The fires attract the attention of a British Warship. The US Marines come to the island at the end.
