   Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler are mentor and student, and not romantically involved. Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler are romantically involved.
   Dr. Ian Malcolm is weak and is thrown around like a doll by Gennaro in the book. Dr. Ian Malcolm is stronger in the book, also all of Gennaro's muscle from the book went to Malcolm in the movie.
   The sister is scared idiot The sister is smart and resourceful
   Muldoon and Gennaro search for Nedry, and find his half-eaten body. This does not happen in the book.
