   Dobby drops a pudding on the floor in the kitchen and it gets all over Harry. He drops a cake on Mr. Mason's head.
   Vernon pays to have bars put on Harry's window. Vernon is shown installing them himself.
   Harry nearly forgets to take Hedwig, but remembers just in time. He doesn't forget.
   The entire Dursley family attempt to keep Harry from leaving with Ron. They end up hanging out the window. Only Uncle Vernon attempts to stop him and he ends up falling from the window.
   The Weaseley's have to remove gnomes from their yard. This doesn't happen.
   Harry, Hermione and Ron attend Sir Nicholas' Deathday Party at Halloween. No Deathday Party is mentioned and Sir Nicholas isn't included in the film.
   The book starts out with them eating breakfast on the morning of Harry birthday,with unle vernon, talking about his business party. The movie starts out with Harry in the room on the night of uncle vernon's business party.
   Harry first encounter with Dobby is outside , in some bushes and he don't know it. Then he sees him again a second time in his room. Dobby hiding in the bushes outside, isn't in the movie. Harry first encounter with him, is when he meets him in his room.
   Harry has too do all types of chores, for his aunt on his birthday. Harry doing chores isn't in the movie.
   The picture of Dobby in the book at the start of chapter 2, has Dobby looking more friendly. And has a little bit of black hair on his head. Not the mention he has big eye lashes, that almost make him look female, instead of male. Dobby in the movie look as if he's starving, dirty, and looks like he's scared most of the time.
   Before Dobby drops the pudding on the floor he has a sad face. Before Dobby drops the cake on the woman's head he has a sly face.
   The owl comes through with a note, which vernon finds out the harry shouldn't be doing magic during the summer. This is not in the movie.
   Harry was locked in his room starving for weeks. Harry was only looked in for one night, intil Ron and his brother saved him.
   Ron brothers help harry get his magic stuff while sneaking out the window. Harry get his own magic stuff with no help.
   A spell backfires on Ron and has him spitting up slugs in a barrell, except the picture shows the barrell is overflowing with slugs ron has spit up. Plus he's not wearing a robe, he's in his regular clothes. In the movie, ron don't spit up that many slugs that has the barrell over flowing, plus he's wearing his school uniform, and robe, when he does it.
   The cakes that crabbe are Goyle eat, to knock them out are on the banister. The cakes crabbe and Goyle eat are floating in the air, when they get them.
   When harry, ron and hermonie drink the stuff that change they're appearance, they're in 3 different stalls in the bathroom. When the 3 of them drink the stuff, they're all standing there together.
   Harry, Ron and Fang are captured by a separate spider each and are taken to Aragog. They follow the trail of spiders until they reach Aragog.
   Professor Binns, the History of Magic teacher, explains the history of the Chamber of Secrets. Professor McGonagall explains it.
   This doesn't happen. Harry falls out of the Flying Ford Anglia and hangs on by the door. Ron has to grab his hand and pull him back in.
   Mr. Weasley fixes Harry's glasses in Diagon Alley Hermione does
   Hermione is unaware of what a ''Mudblood'' is and Ron explains it while throwing up slugs. She fully aware of the term and is deeply upset while she explains its meaning.
   color versions of the chapter pictures shows dobby with blue eyes. in the movie dobby has lite green eyes.
   Hermione doesn't know what a mudblood is (although she can tell it's an insult) Hermione knows mudblood means "dirty blood" already
