In the Book In the Movie
At finishing school Hattie tells Ella to break off her friendship with Areida, Ella runs away from finishing school to go to the wedding so she doesnt have to do this. Hattie did this because Ella and Areida were late for bed. Ella is at home with Olga, Hattie, Olive, and Mandy when she is told to break off the friendship and say she never would be friends with an Ayorthaian. Hattie blamed Arieda for telling her to steal stuff when it was really Hattie.
Fairies don't usually show people obvious signs that they are fairies; only Lucinda does. The fairies dislike lucinda and the only way you can signify between a fairy and a human is their feet which are tiny. The fairies in the movie are obviously fairies, and they don't hate lucinda as much.
Characters speak many different languages making it difficult for people to communicate. They all speak english.
Ella is named after her mother Eleanor. Her father called her Eleanor but she hated it. She preferred to be called Ella. This isn't mentioned in the movie. She is just called Ella of Frell.
Ella and Char became friends at Eleanors funeral. Wrote letters throughout the book. Char gave her a centaur. Met when Char ran into her while he was running from fan girls. went on quest with her.
