Charlotte's Web (1973) Book vs Movie
In the Book |
In the Movie |
In the book, Fern and Avery ask their parents for money when they get to the fair, stating what they’re going to do at the fair (Fern with winning a doll by spinning a wheel so it stops at the right number, and Avery with steering a jet plane and making it bump into another one); Fern asks if she can have a balloon, and Avery asks if he can have a frozen custard, a cheeseburger, and some raspberry soda pop. |
In the movie, only Avery asks for money, saying, “Can I have some money, Pop? I’m going to get a frozen custard, a cheeseburger, and some raspberry soda pop.” |
In the book, Templeton says, “The old sheep was right. This fair is a rat’s paradise” when he recalls what the old sheep had told him about food being spilled at a fair. |
In the movie, Templeton says, “The goose was right. This fair is a rat’s paradise” when he sees all the food spilled at the fair.
