Corrine and Part Winslow are married during the second year the kids are in the attic. She goes away for a few months on her honeymoon. She is stopped from marrying him after the children escape.
Corrine is lashed 33 times for each year of her life and 15 time for each year of marriage. She only gets 17 lashes for each year of marriage.
The Dollanganger kids eat donughts. They eat cookies.
Corrine lives. She is killed accidently during a fight with Cathy.
The kids create a wooden key that they use to open the door and escape. They remove the hinges on the door to get out.

Also, the description of the attic was full of horrid images and paintings along the walls. This was a terrible adaptation of the book
