There are 3 chapters that only talk about musicians: Genesis, Whitney Houston and Huey Lewis and the News Before killing someone, Patrick gives a monologue paraphrasing some of the chapters
Patrick uses a Rolex watch; during the sex scene with Christie and the other prostitute, he tells them: "Don't touch the Rolex" Rolex licence of use wasn't extended to Patrick himself, so in the same scene the line was changed to : "Don't touch the watch"
Donald Kimball is a young detective, almost at the same age as Patrick (26) Donald Kimball is portrait by Willem Dafoe, turning him into an older character
Patrick reunites with his ex-girlfriend Bethany for lunch, back at his place Patrick kills her with Mace, stabs and bites her fingers off At the end Patrick calls his lawyer and tells him that he killed her with a nail gun
