Ethan and Hannah marry. They enjoy their life with many grandchildren as the years pass. One day Buddy senses something is wrong with Ethan. Ethan hallucinates, he thinks Buddy is his old dog Bailey. Buddy finds the flip (an old toy) and brings it to Ethan. They play for a while but then Ethan gets worse. As Ethan is dying, Buddy/Bailey knows he has fulfilled his purpose in life. Bitter sweet ending. |
